This Privacy Policy explains how Downloadstore ("we", "us", "our"), Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, collects, uses and shares information when you use the Android app Mastery English and the website downloadstore.in (together, the "Services"). Mastery English is an English learning and exam-practice app.

1. Information We Collect

Account details: when you sign in with Google, Facebook or email, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. You may also add a phone number or upload a profile photo.
Content you create: reviews you submit (your name, star rating and text) and items you add to favourites.
Learning activity: quiz scores, practice progress and notification read status.
Orders and purchases: the products you bought, and payment reference IDs. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
Messages: information you send us through contact forms or email.
Device and usage data: device model, Android version, app version, IP address, app usage events and crash reports. We also collect your push-notification token and, through Google AdMob, device identifiers such as the advertising ID.
Website cookies: our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, make the site work and understand how it is used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and secure your account, show your progress, process orders and unlock content you purchased, send notifications about new PDFs, videos, posts and current affairs, show ads, provide support, fix bugs, improve the Services, and prevent fraud and misuse. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Payments

Payments for paid PDFs, ebooks and courses are processed by Razorpay. The "Remove Ads" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by these providers on their own secure systems. We keep only the product you bought and the payment reference needed to unlock your content and handle support or refund requests.

4. Advertisements

The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and similar technologies to show, measure and personalise ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation in your phone settings (Settings > Google > Ads). You can also remove ads by buying the "Remove Ads" plan.

5. Notifications

We send push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn them off at any time in your phone settings (Settings > Apps > Mastery English > Notifications).

6. Third-Party Services

We use these services, which process data on our behalf or under their own policies: Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics and App Check), Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Razorpay, and Facebook Login (only if you choose to sign in with Facebook). Please read their privacy policies for details. We may also share information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

7. Public Information

Reviews you submit may be shown to other users after approval, with the name you entered and your star rating. Please do not include personal details you do not want to be public.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile > Delete Account), or by following the steps on our Delete Account page. We delete your profile, review and purchase records within 30 days of a verified request. Some records, such as payment and tax records held by Razorpay or Google, may be kept for as long as the law requires. Anonymous analytics and crash data may be kept for service improvement.

9. Data Security and Storage

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers and on our own servers (downloadstore.in and our quiz server), which may be located outside India. We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections and access rules, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are under 18, please use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You can view and edit your name and phone number in your profile, turn off notifications, limit ad personalisation, delete your account, or ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing us. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or uninstalling the app.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page and in the app (Privacy Policy). The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app.

Advertising and cookies
